Melissa Johnston (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas--Melissa "Missy" Johnston, 57, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the Tulia Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Rusty Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Melissa was born February 15, 1956 in Alice, Texas to Henry and Jerry Morris. She grew up in McAllen until her family moved to Dallas when she was 12. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1974. She was a waitress for many years. She moved to Tulia in 1978. She married Brad Johnston on August 4, 1979. She owned and operated the Conestoga Restaurant for several years. She later worked for Subway. Her family incudes her husband: Brad Johnston of Tulia, one brother: Michael Morris of Dallas and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
