Clydia Fay Culifer (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Clydia Culifer, 95, died today, April 1, 2008 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 3, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Ed Soules, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Culifer was born March 7, 1913 to Henry and Mattie Garner. She grew up in Amity, Arkansas and Randolph, Texas where she graduated for High School. She married Orville Culifer on June 19, 1935 in Randolph, Texas. They moved to Swisher County, Texas in 1948. She was a housewife and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orville Culifer and four sons, Lendel Culifer, Wayne Culifer, Richard Culifer and Leslie Culifer. Survivors include one daughter; Lena Watkins of Tulia and one son; Jerry Culifer of Tulia, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
