Nicolasa Gallardo (Plainview)

Nicolasa A. Gallardo, 78, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2013 at the funeral home. Nicolasa was born on March 25, 1935 to Reyes & Maria Arteaga in Mexico. She married Julian Gallardo on July 9, 1999. She was a daughter of migrant workers. She moved to Plainview when she was 16. She married Luis Ramos and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and served as a member of the Guadalupanas. She is preceded in death by her first husband Luis Ramos; two daughters, Leticia Ramos Hinojosa & Maria DeJesus; one son, Tomas Ramos; her parents, Reyes & Maria Arteaga; and two grandchildren, Laura Luevano & Ray Ramos, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Julian Gallardo of Plainview, TX; five children, Lupe Luevano & husband Ramon of Kansas City, MO; Lousia Gomez & husband Jesse of Cleburne, TX, Angel Ramos & wife Martha of Plainview, TX, Ray Ramos & wife Priscilla of Plainview, TX, and Lori Caballero & husband Darrell of Plainview, TX; seven sisters, Leonor Arteaga, Mary Ramos, Piedad Ferrer, Alicia Perez, Juana Solis, Stella Escobar, & Phyllis Perdomo; two brothers; Santos Arteaga & Salvador Arteaga; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
