Tulia, Texas—Frances Ewers, 74, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 10, 2008 in the Rocky Ford Cemetery in Rocky Ford, Colorado under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Frances was born July 18, 1933 in Ottawa Co., Oklahoma. She grew up in North Miami, Oklahoma and attended high school at Picher, Oklahoma. Frances married Billy Ewers on November 4, 1950 and he died July 13, 1985. She moved to Tulia in 1978. She worked for the Caprock Home Health Care as a care attendant. She was a member of 6th & Gaines Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters; Barbara Yauck of Darrouzett, Texas, Billie Waters of Tulia, Texas and Martha Conklin of Coffeyville, Kansas, one son; Everett Leon Ewers of Fayetteville, Arkansas, one brother; Benny Ray Red of Steep Falls, Maine, one sister; Loretta Steele of North Miami, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
