Tulia, Texas— Edythe Mae Kinser, 89, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 in Tulia. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church with rev. Eddy Helms, pastor officiating and assisted by Kenneth Millsap, Lay Minister. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Edythe was born January 31, 1919 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She married L.C. Anderson in 1937. They moved to Tulia in 1957. She worked as a cook for the Tulia School District for 28 years. Mr. Anderson died in 1970. She later married Harvie Kinser in 1971. He died in 1999. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a strong, giving and loving person but never without a laugh. Survivors include four daughters; Marilyn Lumpkins of Tulia, Deana Stoker of Tulia, Shannah Coleman of Tulia and Becky McDowell of Lubbock, one son; Dale Anderson of Fritch, one step-son; Leroy Kinser of Dimmitt, one sister; Geraldine Ray of Salina, Kansas, 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two husbands, one step-daughter; Ruby Whitsett and two sons; Lloyd “Sonny” Anderson and Robert Leon Anderson. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
