David Curtis McPherson, 61, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, in Granbury. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Trinity Fellowship Church with Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. David was born May 17, 1952, in Plainview, Texas, to William Elmer "Bill" McPherson and Nona Edwards McPherson. He attended Mexico Military Institute in Mexico, Missouri for two years and he graduated from Plainview High School where he played football and was a member of the Hale County Sheriff's Posse. He co-owned McPherson & Sons Pump Co. with his father Bill and was a member of the Hale Center Volunteer Fire Department and SPLAT - South Plains Lines and Transmitters. He owned and operated the first computer sales and service business in Hale County - McPherson Computer Service. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge and several bass fishing clubs. He was preceded in death by a son, Shawn McPherson, and his father, William E. "Bill" McPherson. Survivors include his wife, Kenda McPherson of Granbury; a son, Jason McPherson of Weatherford; his mother, Nona McPherson of Granbury; a step-daughter, Kellye SoRelle and husband, Jeremy, of Brownsville; a step-son, Cory Crump and wife, Cristy of Granbury; brothers, Mike McPherson and wife, Tawana, of Yuba City, Calif., John McPherson and wife, Mary, of Vancouver, Wash.; four granddaughters, Sidney, Maddie, Bella and Lexi; two grandsons, Thom and Noah; three nephews, Seth, Ian, and Logan; and a niece, Emma; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
