Malcolm Tisdel, 85, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the Family Life Chapel of First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Tisdel was born on April 13, 1928 to Willard and Lena Tisdel in Petersburg. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1946-1949. He married Florabel Teague on March 22, 1951 in Plainview. After graduating from Baylor University in 1953, Malcolm’s ambition was to return to the place he loved, West Texas and especially Plainview to practice law as a “Country Lawyer” Even though his clients came from Arizona, California, New York, Dallas and Washington D.C. he considered himself a “Country Lawyer.” He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Patrick Tisdel. Mr. Tisdel is survived by his wife: Florabel Tisdel of Plainview; one son: James Michael Tisdel and wife Scott Elizabeth Tisdel and one grandson: Ian Patrick Tisdel.
