Juanita Dent (Plainview)

Juanita Dent, 86, of Hale Center, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Hale Center with Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Juanita was born June 4, 1927 to Edward and Mae Carmickle in Petersburg, TX. She attended Allman School in Floyd County and later graduated from Petersburg High School. She worked at Hi Plains Hospital for 50 years in accounts receivable. She married Lee Dent in 1946. He preceded her in death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her son, Hardy Dent & wife Shellie of Lubbock, TX; two sisters, Zelda Payne & husband JD of Lubbock, and Beth Gaizauska of San Antonio, TX; and two grandchildren, Lillee and Elijah Dent.
