Willie Helen Driver (Plainview)

Willie Helen Driver “Aunt Willie Helen”, 88, of Lubbock was called home to rest on August 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at United Baptist Church with Rev. White officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Willie Helen Driver was born April 18, 1925 in Blossom, Texas to Louis and Ora Ridley. Helen received her education in Blossom, TX. She was married Lee Andrew Driver Jr. for 40 beautiful years. He preceded her in death. Helen was a good and faithful servant until God called her home. Helen is survived by her daughters: Mary Acy of Lubbock, Texas and Barbara Shakir of San Antonio, Texas; sixteen Grandchildren, many Great Grandchildren and several Great, Great, Grandchildren and three special nieces: Carol Hodge, Barbara Curry and Thresa Simpson. She was preceded in death by her two granddaughters: Joyce Acy and Gloria Woods; A special Niece: Josiephine Springer; Four Children: Gloria Johnson, Mable Nash, Helen Moore and Larry Woods; Four brothers: Willis, Ernest, William and Louis and ten sisters: Mayona, Florine, Mattie, Della, Lena, Nona, Lillie Mae, Ola Mae, Ruth and Rose.
