Rosa Elva Casarez, 57, of Plainview passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. David Azam officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A prayer services will be held at 7 P.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Casarez was born on October 28, 1955 in Olton, Texas to Elias and Dora Martinez. She married Jose Casarez on December 29, 1971 in Olton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Dora Martinez. She is survived by her husband: Jose Casarez of Plainview; one daughter: Sonia Quintanilla & husband Tom of Plainview; one son: Joe Casarez, Jr. of Plainview; one brother: Hector Martinez of Olton and three grandchildren: Brandon Rangel, Faith Quintanilla and Christopher Casarez.
