Mary Fox Murray (Plainview)

Mary Fox Murray, 80¸ of Plainview passed way on September 10, 2013 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Kornerstone Chapel with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mary was born on August 19, 1933 to Oma & Hallie Fox in Alvarado, TX. She attended Hardin Simmons University. She married Norman Murray on May 23, 1953 in Littlefield, TX. He preceded her in death. She was co-owner of Needlework Alley and retired from Plainview Independent School District after 15 years as a teacher’s aide. Mrs. Murray was active with Meals on Wheels, Road to Recovery and a Hospice Volunteer. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mary is preceded in death by her husband; and her parents and a son-in-law, Glenn Norrell. She is survived by her daughter, Kym Norrell of Plainview,TX; her son, Kyndal Murray & wife Kathy of Wheeler, TX; four grandchildren, Brett Blenden of Belton, Krista Marshall & husband Steve of Plainview, TX, Derek Murray & wife Jennifer of Amarillo, TX; and Caleb Norrell of Plainview, TX; and five great grandchildren, Dylan & Kynslee Marshell of Plainview, TX, Madison & Garrett Blenden of Belton, TX, and Tynlee Murray of Amarillo, TX.
