Delbert Eugene Dorsey (Plainview)

Delbert Eugene Dorsey, 77, of Plainview, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2008, in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Dorsey was born on June 20, 1930, in Dixon, Texas to William and Mamie Dorsey. He has been married to Ruth Jenkins for 18 years. He served in the U.S. Army during The Korean War. He worked at Wilson’s Trucking as a mechanic for 40 years. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Dorsey of Plainview, his children, Jerry Dean Dorsey of Camden, AR, Jerry R. Stegall & wife Jetta of Sweeney, Larry Stegall of Lubbock, Carolyn Kreh of Illinois and Tommy Elvis Jenkins of Texas, seven grandchildren, Chris Morgan, Tammy Goff, Gary Dorsey, Jason Morgan, Liz Howard, Ethan Stegall and Tammy Van Veen and six great grandchildren, Dalton, Dakota, Dylon, & Devin Goff, Camron Van Veen and Cale Howard. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Eugene Dorsey and Randy Allen Dorsey
