Tulia, Texas— Crickette LeMoine Rachal, 92, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in Tulia. Wake services will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with a rosary service to follow at 7:00 pm. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Her body will be taken to Natchitoches, Louisiana on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Blanchard St. Denis FH will handle arrangements in Natchitoches. A wake will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Blanchard St. Denis FH in Natchitoches from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA at 10:00 am with burial to follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. Crickette LeMoine was born on February 28, 1921 in Cloutierville, LA to Pomfield and Dora Wallet LeMoine. She married Frank Isaac Rachal on March 2, 1942. Crickette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Crickette did not have a formal education but she was wise in many ways. In her young days she was a very active woman. She worked the fields, built fences, fished and hunted, rode horses, cut cord wood, planted large gardens, cooked, she took care of her husband and four children. She is best known in her later years for her hand made baby quilts and homemade biscuits. She also spoke two languages, “Cajun French and English. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers: Alfred LeMoine, Paul LeMoine, Sims LeMoine and Ernest P. LeMoine, two sisters: Pauline Kerley and Dora Casey, one grandson: John A. Young, two sons-in-law: Rudy Carrasco and Lewis J. Young. She is survived by her four children: Frank I. Rachal, Jr. and wife Lucy of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Loraine Carrasco of Tulia, TX, Bertha L. Morgan and husband Girard of Chicago, IL and Irene Rachal of Hesperia, CA, one brother: Pierre LeMoine and wife Juanita of Klamath Falls, OR, two sisters: Inez Hutchison of Klamath Falls, OR and Josephine Joiner of Klamath Falls, OR, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
