Delbert Duane Wesley (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Delbert Duane Wesley, 85, died on Monday, September 23, 2013 in Amarillo. A visitation will be held at 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Holy Name Cemetery in Happy, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Delbert was born March 21, 1928 in Happy, Texas to Alvin and Lillie Mae Wesley. He married Imelda Agnes Lange on March 5, 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years and after his discharge he returned home to farm. He owned Tulia Paint and Decorative Center for several years and after retirement he played the guitar and sang at the Tulia Health and Rehab Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, six brothers: Charles, Wayne, Darrel, Kenton, Ronnie, Winfred, and two sisters: Orene and Lola. He is survived by one daughter: Kathy Benavidez and husband Refugio of Clarendon, TX, two sons: Mike Wesley and his wife Mary of Lubbock, TX and Ric Wesley and wife Teresa of Amarillo, TX, four grandchildren: Lyndetta Archer and husband Brian of Amarillo, TX, Kincy Wesley and wife Lydia of Amarillo, TX, Cierra Smith and husband Oddie of Clarendon, TX and Mariah Benavidez of Clarendon, five great grandchildren: Taytum Wesley, Maddilynn Wesley, Keltie Wesley, Emma Archer and Bella Archer.
