Luis Zapata, Jr. (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Luis Zapata, Sr., 64, died Friday, November 11, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday, November 14, 2005 in the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Scott Raef, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Zapata was born December 28, 1940 in Mexico. He grew up in Tulia. He was a contract laborer and worked all over the area. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm Sunday, November 13, 2005 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Survivors include: One Daughter; Emily Zapata of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, One Son; Luis Zapata, Jr. of Iowa, Three Brothers; Pablo Zapata of Tulia, Inez Zapata of Tulia, and Miguel Zapata of Plainview, One Sister; Manuela Hernandez of Tulia and Five Grandchildren.
