Jean Preston (Tulia)

Jean Preston, 82, of Tulia, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Tulia with Rev. Rusty Gray of Tulia Christian Fellowship officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A family visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Jean was born on February 1, 1931 in Eula, Texas to Pete and Goldie Owens. She grew up in Clyde, Texas. She married Kenneth Preston on November 15, 1953 in Abilene. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2005. Mrs. Preston worked for Tulia Auto Parts for many years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tulia. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Wag Owens. Jean is survived by two sons: Billy Paul Preston and wife Cindy of Tulia and Dennis Preston and wife Linda of Channing, TX; one brother: Dale Owens of Brannon, MS; three grandchildren: Hayden Preston of Channing, TX, Bailey Preston of Tulia, TX and Paige Riedel of Smyer, TX and four great grandchildren.
