Tulia, Texas—Jimmy Granado, 55, died Sunday, October 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2-013 at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Marco Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the funeral home. Jimmy was born May 2, 1958 in Tulia to Elida and Ladislao Granado. He grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1977. He worked for Y-8 Bronze for 32 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, the Knights of Columbus and was on the Council of Economic Affairs. He also served on the Panhandle Community Services board and helped start the Tulia Youth Football Association in Tulia. He is survived by his three children: Zabrina Mireles of Amarillo, Natazia Granado of Tulia nad Zabrian Granado of Tulia, one sister: Paula Perea of Amarillo and six grandchildren: Aleza Mireles, Aryal Montes, Zavier Mireles, Zay-Lee Rose Granado, Zanyah Granado and Zaybriana Granado.
