David Arnold Daniels, 73, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Plainview. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Ron Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. David was born on January 29, 1940 in Lamesa, Texas to Verner and Eugene Bernice Daniels. He grew up in Lamesa and attended schools there. He enlisted into the U.S. Army where he served in active duty for 16 years and another 20 years in the reserves. He was in construction in the construction industry and did a little bit of everything from building High Rises to Grain Elevators. He also drove a truck for awhile. David was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Daniels in 1998, his parents, a brother, Gene Daniels, and a son, Grady Knipe. He is survived by one daughter, Tammie Smith of Plainview; son, David Daniels and wife Debbie of Plainview; seven grandchildren, Derrik Daniels, Dillon Pomykal, James Ruben, Brian Ruben, Tori Quintero, Justin Knipe, Donna Knipe; and 11 great grandchildren.
