Ena Bowden Trauer (Plainview)

Ena Robertson Bowden Trauer, 99, of Houston, formerly of Hart and Plainview, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Hart with Rev. Wendell Horn, a nephew of Oakwood United Methodist Church in Lubbock officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Trauer was born August 28, 1914 in Pottsville, Arkansas to Winfred and Ola Robertson. She married Earl Hursting Bowden and they had four children. After his death she married Julius Trauer who also preceded her in death. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; her daughter, O’Lysia Conaway; three brothers, Wheeler Robertson, W.J. Roberson, and Paul Robertson; and a sister, Edna Moore. She is survived by two daughters, Joy Bowden & husband Jerry Parker of Houston, and Konnie Sasser & husband Joe of Granbury; one son in law, Phillip Conaway of Dallas; one son, Bob Bowden & wife Nancy of Plainview; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; one brother Glen Robertson & wife Clara of Hale Center, and numerous nieces and nephews.
