Callis "Mema" Love (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Callis “Mema” Love, 95, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Central Church of Christ with Mr. Bob Colson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Callis was born on January 15, 1918 in Electra to Jess and Emmagene Moore Goss. She grew up in Ft. Worth and moved to Kress in 1933 and graduated from Kress High School in 1936. She married Hubert Love on July 11, 1938 in Clovis, NM. She was a homemaker. Mr. Love died on October 7, 1989. She is preceded in death by her parents, her aunt and uncle that raised her, her husband, one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter: Sharon Beeson and husband Gary of Tulia, her son: Jerry Love and wife Tricia of Tijeras, NM, eight granddaughters, 15 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
