Gus Harold Wesley (Plainview)

Gus Harold Wesley, 95, of Plainview died Monday. He was born to the late James Edgar and Teressa Alexander Wesley, June 1, 1918 near Wayside in Randall County, Texas. He married Agnes Marie Taylor, August 4, 1936 in Amarillo. She preceded him in death December 3, 2000. Gus worked in the electrical trade, beginning as a lineman for SPS, continuing as an electrician, and electrical contractor when he began Wesley's Electric Company in Plainview. He and his wife operated the General Mercantile for several years after his retirement. He is survived by three sons. Waldo and wife Patricia of Plainview; Walt of Lubbock; Dean and wife Jan of Lubbock. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. The family suggests donations to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers. Graveside services, under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors, are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 with Dr. Bruce Wesley officiating.
