Jacob Cole McClurg (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Jacob Cole McClurg, 26, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 in Bastrop. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Rusty Gray, pastor of Tulia Christian Fellowship officiating. A private family burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Director of Tulia. Jacob was born December 7, 1986 in Hale Center to Dudley and Penny McClurg. He grew up on the family farm and attended schools in Kress, Tulia and graduated from Nazareth High School. He graduated from Sul Ross State University with a degree in Industrial Tech and a degree in Theater. He was working for Discount Tire in Bastrop at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents: Dudley and Penny McClurg of Tulia, his brother: Joshua McClurg of Tulia, his sister: Stormie McClurg of College Station and his grandparents: Weldon and Barbara McClurg of Tulia and Royce and Marcella Durham of Kress.
