Calixto Martinez, Jr. (Plainview)

Calixto Martinez, Jr., 50, former Plainview resident passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at College Heights Baptist Church with Eloy Felan, Jr. and Sonny Osio officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Martinez was born April 26, 1958 in Plainview, Texas to Calixto P., Sr. and Petra Felan Martinez. Mr. Martinez attended Plainview Schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1990. He worked as a floor tech supervisor for Statewide Building Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by one daughter: Regina Martinez of Allen; three sons: Jason Quintana of Killeen, Travis J. Martinez of Amarillo and Johnathan Martinez of Allen; his parents: Calixto, Sr. and Petra Martinez of Plainview; three sisters: Linda Osio of Dilley, Gloria Alvarez of Weslaco and Vicky Garza of San Antonio; three brothers: Luis Martinez of Plainview, Mark Martinez of Plainview and Ruben Martinez of Garland; three grandchildren. Prayer service will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
