Up to then she had been an active member of her bridge group, enjoying their friendship for many years. She cherished delivering Meals on Wheels, receiving the Boot Award several times. It grieved her when she had to quit. She visited several times a week in the hospital and nursing home and baked and delivered goodies to many shut-ins. Ruby's greatest love, outside of her own family, was the pure love she felt for and from her family at the Central Church of Christ. Ruby taught Bible classes for many years, children to young adult women. She loved her family and her church family.
