Marie Hall (Plainview)

Marie Cox Hall, 92, of Plainview, passed away on November 6, 2013 in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Family Life Chapel of the First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Marie was born on May 29, 1921 to L.P & Lillie Cox in Hale County. She graduated from Plainview High School and later attended Lippert’s Business College. She married T.G “Grady” Hall on June 9, 1946 in Plainview. She worked for Farmers Home Administration for 40 years as an administrative assistant and later worked for Plains Federal Credit Union as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Leota Hardgrove’s Sunday school class, and Hale County Historical Commission. She is preceded in death by her husband, T.G. “Grady” Hall; her parents; and two brothers, Carroll and Glenn Cox. She is survived by her children, Tom Hall & wife Linda of Plainview, TX, Carol Lawrence & husband Curtis of Canyon, TX, and Bobby Hall & wife Laurie of Lockney, TX; grandchildren, Justin Lawrence & wife Angela of Amarillo, TX, Jenny Rosetta & husband Randy of Baton Rouge, LA, Jarrod Lawrence & wife Nicole of Midland, TX, Alexis & Lucas Hall both of Plainview, TX, and great grandchildren, Peyton & Ethan Lawrence, Mallory & Darby Rosetta; and one nephew Bill Cox of Gainesville, TX. Memorials may be made to and T.G. & Marie Hall Endowed Scholarship Fund, Wayland Baptist University, 1900 W. 7th Street, Plainview, TX 79072 or First Baptist Church, 205 W. 8th Street, Plainview, TX 79072.
