Carolyn H. Immel, 82, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2013. She died in San Antonio, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville at 10 AM on Thursday, November 21st, officiated by Dr. Bill Blackburn and Rev. John Wheat. On Saturday, November 23rd, there will be a graveside service in Plainview, Texas at 10:30 AM at the Plainview Cemetery and handled by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Deanne Immel Busick, and son-in-law, Brian Busick of San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill J. Immel, of 54 years. She was also predeceased by her parents, Chester and Alyne Hooper, and brother, Lewellen Hooper. Carolyn was born in Halfway, Texas on July 10, 1931. Her family owned a farm where she was reared. She attended Wayland Baptist University and received a Bachelor of Science from Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas. She also received a Master of Education from West Texas State College in Canyon, Texas. Over her career, she taught homemaking in Panhandle, Texas; taught first grade in Uvalde, Texas; and taught second grade in Kerrville, Texas. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Kerrville.
