Don Scott (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Don Scott, 64, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Don was born September 7, 1949 in McAllister, Oklahoma to R.A. and Bobbie Jean Scott. He grew up in Tulia. He served in the Army in the Vietnam War. He married Merilee Werther on September 2, 1979 in Borger. After his marriage he lived in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo College as a certified Diesel mechanic. He worked in Amarillo as a diesel mechanic and a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Anthony Curtis Scott and two sisters: Barbara Cook and LaWanda Jean Scott. He is survived by his wife: Merilee Scott of Amarillo, one daughter: Jessica Scott of Bedford, one son: Allen Scott of Amarillo, three brothers: Darrel Scott and Larry Scott both of Tulia and David Scott of Gravette, Arkansas, two sisters: Shirley Wheeler of Tulia and Betty Cook of Phoenix, Arizona and six grandchildren: Shawn Ross Lawrence, Lock Grant, Jonathan Grant, Ryan Grant, Eleanor Jewel Scott and Virginia Pearl Scott.
