Richard DelCampo, Sr. (Plainview)

Ricardo Del Campo, 82, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at La Primera Iglesia Bautista with Rev. Raymond Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2013 Ricardo was born on July 8, 1931 in Mexico. He married Nicolasa Medina in 1950. He worked for Jimmy Dean Sausage for many years and then he was a truck driver for Coca-Cola and Pepsi Bottling Companies. He was a member of La Primera Iglesia Bautista. He is preceded in death by his mother, Casamira Del Campo; one sister, Raquel Del Campo; and two brothers, Raul and Ramon Del Campo. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Nicolasa of Plainview; eight children, Rachel Gonzales of Plainview, Romelia Garcia of Plainview, Roger Del Campo of Plainview, Robert Del Campo of Angelton, Rosa Del Campo Ortiz of Lubbock, Richard Del Campo of Plainview, Rene Del Campo of Fort Worth, and Ramon Del Campo of Dalhart; fifteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
