Shirley Ann Brownlow Igo (Plainview)

Shirley Ann Brownlow Igo passed away June 13, 2008 at home in Plainview, Texas. She was born to Violet Clay and Frances Kenneth Brownlow in Kenedy, Tx, Feb. 20, 1935. She attended Kenedy schools and graduated from Texas Woman’s University, Denton. She married Wayne Merwyn Igo in Kenedy on August 3, 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Frances Kenneth Brownlow, Jr. Survivors include 5 children and spouses: Marci Lyn Brown, Plainview; Shanna Gay Igo and husband, Kevin Fleming, Austin; Kevin Wayne Igo and wife Roxie Ann, Plainview; Mandy Sue Goodwin and husband, Tom, Friendswood; and Robert Joe Igo and wife Amy, Austin. Other survivors include 12 grandchildren; Garrett, Katelyn, and Dustin Brown of Plainview; Jesse and Jaxon Igo-Fender of Austin; Jessica, Clay, and Meagan Igo of Plainview; Turner, Marley, and Meranda Goodwin of Friendswood; and Claire Igo of Austin; a brother, Keith Brownlow and wife Sandra of Timpson; brother-in-law Dorman Igo and wife Mary of Lubbock; and sister-in-law Dorothy Igo of Riverside, Calif., 10 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ, Plainview. She had served as president of both Texas PTA and National PTA. For those of you who knew her, you won’t be surprised that she specifically requested a graveside service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2008 at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.
