Carlene Willborn (Plainview)

Carlene Willborn, 71, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Norma was born February 21, 1942 to Leonard & Norma Lumpkins in Bosque County. She married James Willborn in 1958 in Plainview. She was a devoted wife and supported her husband in 30 years of ministry. She loved serving her Lord and was a strong believer in prayer. She also taught Sunday school at each church that they served at. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Willborn, and her parents. She is survived by one daughter, Keila Wesley & husband David of Plainview, TX; two sons, Barney Willborn & wife Sherry of Stratford, TX, and Quint Willborn & wife Lisa of Idalou, TX; one sister, Earlene Sharp & husband Michael of Plainview, TX; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
