James Webb (Plainview)

James Carter Webb, 87, of Plainview, passed away on January 2, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Jonathan Wright officiating with Mr. Grady Simmons assisting. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A family visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. James was born July 21, 1926 to James & Eva Webb in Plainview, TX. He graduated from Plainview High School. He married Norma Lou Gaither on July 31, 1947 in Tulia, TX. She preceded him in death. He farmed in Plainview and was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his sister, Zelda Elizabeth Webb. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Webb & wife Claudia, and Johnny Webb & wife Vicki all of Plainview, TX; six grandchildren, Coy Webb & fiancé Rachael Lunbdy, Cody Webb & wife Erica, Colti Webb Kissinger & husband Tom, Kristen Webb Wright & husband Jonathan, Jason Webb & wife Shay, and Nathan Webb; ten great grandchildren, Tanner Webb, Adeline Webb, Payne Kissinger, Mayson Kissinger, Jaxon Wright, Harper Wright, Trinity Wright, Trooper Wright, Rylee Webb and Jess Webb; a sister-in-law, Nellie King of Amarillo, TX, a brother-in-law, Clarence Gaither of Austin, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial may be made to a Charity of your Choice.
