Jason Ruhland (Plainview)

Jason Lawrence Ruhland 39, of Plainview, TX passed away on January 7, 2014. The Rosary will be held at St. Alice Parish, Plainview, TX on January 10, 2014 at 6pm. The funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainview, TX on January 11, 2014 at 1pm. Mass of Burial will be held at Assumption Church, Eden Valley, MN on January 18, 2014 with a visitation beginning at 8:30a.m., Mass at 10:00am. Burial will follow the mass. Jason was born in St. Cloud, MN on January 8, 1974 to Larry and Barb Ruhland. Jason graduated from Eden Valley-Watkins High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1996. He married Misty (Webb) Ruhland on August 19, 2001. Jason was a larger than life character with a big smile and deep laugh. He was a generous leader, loving father, patient husband, wise son, adventurous brother, hardworking, dedicated generous man. He worked diligently to support his family and loved seeing his kids grow, smile and laugh. Jason loved to make his family and friends feel welcomed and loved. He did this though his culinary skills, listening, laughing, and telling stories. He enjoyed nature and was an avid hunter. He also loved football from Texas Tech Raiders to Texas A & M Aggies to North Dakota State Bison. Jason was a vibrant fan. Jason is survived by his wife Misty, and four children Madison, Megan, Jonathan, and Mallory all of Plainview, Texas. He is also survived by his mother Barb Ruhland of Watkins, MN his siblings Tina Honsey(Matt), Craig Ruhland(Jessica), Eric Ruhland(Mya Honeywell), and Kevin Ruhland(Kelsey). Jason will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
