Leroy Garcia (Tulia)

Kress, Texas—Leroy Garcia, 54, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Tulia. A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Tulia with Father Marco Gonzalez officiating. Private distribution of his ashes will be held at a later date, according to his wishes. Leroy was born June 14, 1959 in Brownfield, TX, attended school in Happy, TX and served in the US Army. Mr. Garcia spent many years as an ASC master auto technician and was a former instructor at Lincoln Technical Institute in Dallas, TX. Leroy enjoyed playing the guitar and riding his motorcycle. Mr. Garcia is survived by his caring wife of 33 years, Maria (Segura) Garcia of Kress, TX; his devoted son, TJ Garcia of Garland, TX; his parents, Joe and Tina Garcia of Tulia, TX; his brother, Billy Ray Garcia of Tulia, TX; his sister, Bobbie Jo Vanek of Yoakum, TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Garcia and his grandparents.
