Tulia, Texas—Judy A. Been, 65, died Friday, June 20, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport and Rev. James Hassell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Judy was born January 21, 1943 in Amarillo. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1961. She married Frankie Been in 1965. She was a homemaker and she also worked as the secretary for the Swisher County Judge for 13 years. She was a member of the Swisher County Activities Association and a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Been died May 3, 1999. She is survived by three daughters; Jerri Sue Lyster of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Vicki A. Benson of Amarillo and Dee Dee Resendes of Lubbock, three sons; Mike Been of Tulia, Jim Bob Been of Plainview and J. Frank Been of Amarillo, one sister; Ernestine Aldridge of Tulia, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Swisher County Activities Association, First Baptist Church or Rose Hill Cemetery.
