Virginia Pritchard, 83, of Plainview died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Kornerstone Chapel with Mr. J Henderson officiating and Mr. Mark Hayes assisting. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Pritchard was born on February 1, 1930 in Slaton, Texas to Ellis Ray & Ina Virginia Harlan. She married Jack Pritchard on February, 28, 1947 in Littlefield, Texas. She moved to Littlefield at an early age and graduated from Littlefield High School in 1947. She was a homemaker and was very active in Junior Service League. Mrs. Pritchard was instrumental in starting one of Plainview’s first day care. She always had a cat and enjoyed traveling with her husband Jack in their motor coach and visited every state but Hawaii. She enjoyed attending Texas Tech football and basketball games with their good friends Bill and Mary Quattlebaum. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Ellis Lamar Harlan and Marinell Harlan Burton. Virginia is survived by her husband Jack Pritchard of Plainview; two sons, Randy Pritchard & wife Cindy of Plainview and Mike Pritchard & wife Rhonda of Glendale, Arizona; three grandchildren, Brandon Pritchard & wife Shanna of Plainview, Brook Goldmeyer & husband Charles of Cypress, Texas and Dustin Pritchard of Glendale, Arizona; and six great grandchildren, Lauren, Cole and Cade Pritchard and Jack, Ella And Nate Goldmeyer.
