Tulia, Texas—Jimmy Neill, 74, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Tulia. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 20l4 at 3:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church. Cremation services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Jimmy was born April 20, 1939 in Hereford to George A. and Katherine Neill. He grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. He attended Decatur Bible College. He married Annette Sams. He lived in Plano and worked for Stewart Systems, an assembly line equipment manufacturer for several years before retiring. He was also an ordained minister. He was involved with the Cowboy Church in Plano and was a chuck wagon cook. He cooked for church functions, rodeos and also competed in cook-off competitions. He moved to Tulia two years ago. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son: Shane Heath Neill and a sister: Joann Weavers. He is survived by two daughters: Raymie Walls and husband Craig of Cross Roads, Texas and Melissa Dempster and husband Bill of McKinney, Texas, one sister: Bonnie Daniel and husband Kirk of Tulia, two brothers: Bob Neill of Tulia and Randy Neill and wife Sherry of Boys Ranch, Texas and 5 grandchildren.
