Ralph Olmsted

Ralph Olmsted, 72, of Hale Center, passed away at his home surrounded by his family, on February 9, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4211 W. 2nd Street, Plainview, TX. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A viewing and visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Ralph was born on August 7, 1941 to Clyde and Violet Olmsted in Detroit, Michigan. He married Francis Hill on March 24, 1965 in Lubbock, TX. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ralph enjoyed genealogy work. He is survived by four children, Glenda Waters of Plainview, TX, Diana Babb & husband Robert of Hale Center, TX, Aaron Olmsted & wife Shanna of Olmsted Falls, OH, and Andrea Gregg of Hale Center, TX; two brothers, Gardner Wilbur of Michigan, and Robert Olmsted of Shallowater, TX; two sisters, Judith Brooks of Michigan and Ruth Meadows of Michigan; fourteen grandchildren, with one on the way, and seven great grandchildren.
