Vici Anice Baird (Silverton)

Silverton, Texas—Vici Anice Baird, 61, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Silverton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 3, 2014 in the Rock Creek Church of Christ with Mr. Barry Francis and Mr. G. J. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Silverton Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Her body will lie in state at the funeral home in Tulia from 1:00 to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday and then at the church from 9:00 am Monday until service time. Vici was born October 18, 1952 in Lockney to Alva C. and Nelda Jasper. She was a lifelong resident of Silverton. She graduated from Silverton High School in 1972. She married Carl Baird on June 2, 1972. She was a housewife and also worked for the Tulia Health & Rehabilitation Center and Prairie House Living Center in Plainview as a CNA for a few years. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: Carl Baird of Silverton, one daughter: Carrie Baird of Silverton, one son: Russell Baird of Lazbuddie, one brother: Mick Jasper of Plainview, five grandchildren: Blake Pope, Ryan Baird, Lana Baird, Coy Baird and Landen Baird and one great grandchild: Brylic Baird.
