William Elmo Hall (Plainview)

William “Elmo” Hall, 86, of Petersburg, Texas was born July 10, 1927 in Hale Center, Texas and passed away March 6, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas at Carillon House. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary Nell LaDuke Hall, his son Jim Hall and his wife Linda of Lubbock, TX and a daughter, Dustee Sollis and her husband Wendell of Petersburg, TX. He is also survived by four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a brother, Joe Hall of Olton, TX. Elmo was preceded in death by his parents, seven other siblings, and one grandson. He was a teacher for 34 years, a coach to numerous athletes, and a mentor to countless others. As a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be missed. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 11th from 5-7pm in the home of Dustee and Wendell Sollis, 17811 N. CR 3600, Petersburg, TX. A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 12th at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg, TX with Mr. Paul Miller, Hospice Chaplain officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Petersburg EMS/Fire Department, P.O. Box 326, Petersburg, TX 79250 (or any charity of your choice). The family would like to thank all of the thoughtful caregivers at Carillon House.
