Services for Lloyd Dow Rogers, 80, will be held 10 am Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Kornerstone Chapel in Plainview, Texas with J.D. Templeton of First Baptist Church in Cotton Center officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday evening from 6-7:30 pm at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Rogers died on April 8, 2014 in Plainview, Texas. Hewas born May 26, 1933 to Ena Brock and Elbert Vernon Rogers in Seminole, Texas. He served in United States Army and was in the 39th Infantry Regiment. He worked as a milkman delivering for Cloverlake and later Bell Dairy for many years. He married Jo Margaret Rogers on August 24, 2001 in Abernathy, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his previous wives, Eunice and Joan, 2 bothers, Elbert Vernon Rogers and his wife Helen, and Stanley Clinton Rogers. He is survived by his wife Jody of Hale Center, 2 daughters, Kathy and her husband Philip Childs of Timpson, TX, Shirley Rogers of Renton, WA; 3 sisters, Ruth Hudson of Ft. Worth, TX, Hazel Qualls of Levelland, TX, Joyce and her husband Bruce Ring of Granbury, TX; a brother, Marvin and his wife Jane Rogers of McAllen, TX; stepchildren, Anita Burgess and her husband Randy Pyles of Lubbock, Tim Masters, Michael and his wife Lisa Masters, Shanna and her husband Glenn Kirkland all of Cotton Center, Tracy and his wife Danna Dawson of Tilden, TX; grandchildren, Elaine Childs, Kristian Magdal, Brock Childs, Jesse Masters, Morgan Masters and Jacob Houk, Jennifer and Carson Battey, Matthew and Eren Kirkland, Aaron Bell, Danielle Dawson, Conner Dawson, Baily Dawson Megan Masters; great grandchildren, Hunter Kirkland and Kena Masters. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to EMS Hale Center, Texas.
