Butch "Arthur" Watson (Plainview)

Butch “Arthur” Watson, 67, of Plainview, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Kornerstone Funeral Chapel with Bishop Mike Springer officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Butch was born on October 12, 1946 to Vol & Bertha Watson in Paris, TX. He attended schools in Plainview before being drafted into the US Army in 1966 where he was ranked as an E5. He operated service stations and painted cars. He owned and operated Pinkie’s Auto Sales for many years. He was a member of the Church of God. He loved to watch sporting events and TV shows with his sons and grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Albert Watson; and one sister, Thelma Parnell. He is survived by his wife Rhea Nell Watson of Plainview; two sons, Ronald Watson of Kress, TX and Ken Watson & wife Angela of Lockney, TX; two brothers, William Watson of Plainview, TX and Don Watson of Plainview, TX; and three sisters, Betty Jean Houston of Paris, TX, Lu Love of Clovis, NM and Marie Whitley of Clovis, NM; seven grandchildren, Thomas Watson, Kevin Watson of Snyder, TX, Shane Watson of Kress, TX, Garrett, Justin & Seth Watson of Lockney, TX, and Kennedi Criswell of Wellington, TX.
