He attended Texas A&M and Texas Tech to do undergraduate work. He joined the Air Force and served four years in San Antonio. He followed his service in the Air Force by attending the University of Houston and received his Doctor of Optometry. During this time, he met Virgie Klaevemann and they married on April 9, 1960 in Nordheim, Texas. They lived in Plainview where Morris practiced optometry with his dad, and later moved to Tulia and started his optometric practice. Morris and Virgie raised their family in Tulia and worshiped and faithfully served the Lord their entire life. He served as an elder at the Central Church of Christ of Tulia. Morris was also an active member of Rotary International. Morris had a beautiful tenor voice and was part of a Christian singing group called His Image Singers. Their music has touched many lives over the decades. Dr. Webb, known to many in the town, will be remembered for his optometry service he provided to this area. His church family will miss him for his leadership, his teaching, and example of God’s love. Those who love him will miss him most for his quick wit, great laugh, love of a good joke, and a kind word of encouragement for all. He was his grandkids biggest fan and they will miss him the most.
