William H. Beasley (Plainview)

William H. “Bill” Beasley, departed for Heaven on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 12:30 a.m. at the age of 91 years 4 months and 10 days. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 28, 2008 at Seth Ward Baptist Church with his son-in-law Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. He was born March 15, 1917 in Quirt, Oklahoma to Ruben F. and Lucinda Chandler Beasley and was raised in the Seymour area. He married Margie Mozelle Baldwin on May 20, 1939 in Benjamin, Texas. They were married for 69 years. He worked for Green Machinery for 32 years as a pump setter electrician and retired in 1980. Mr. Beasley was a faithful member of Seth Ward Baptist Church for 60 years and was still currently a Sunday School teacher. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Mozelle Beasley of Plainview; three daughters: Pat Kidd of Lubbock, Janie Ritter and husband Jim of Plainview and Evelyn Carroll and husband Michael of Plainview; two sons: Billy Beasley of Plainview and Stan Beasley and wife Sissiy of Plainview; one sister: Georgia Boyd of New Mexico; eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. He was a faithful Father, friend, confidant and mentor to many and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 3-5 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1984, Plainview, TX 79073 or Seth Ward Baptist Church, 601 East 24th Street, Plainview, TX 79072
