Rita Joy Lyles, 83, of Gentry, Arkansas died April 28, 2014 in her home. Born December 16, 1930 in Floyd County, Texas she was the daughter of Weldon and Jewel Love McCormick. She was a homemaker. She lived in Floyd County for 52 years before moving to Centerton, Arkansas. Then she relocated to Gentry, Arkansas in 2003. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gentry, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Floyd Elton Lyles, and a brother, Wayne McCormick. Survivors include her two daughters Rhonda Lyles of Gentry, Arkansas and Naomi Wilson and husband David of Gentry, Arkansas; one brother Delmas McCormick of Lubbock, Texas; two grandchildren Wesley Wilson of Katy, Texas and Lisa Jones and husband Jeremy of Lowell, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, Ava Quinn, Morgan Kate and Ethan Wilson Jones. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm., Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Floyd County Memorial Park Cemetery in Floydada, Texas with Dr. Sammy Elliott officiating.Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
