Tulia, Texas—Mabel E. Sadler, 89, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the Central Church of Christ with Mr. Bruce Baird and Mr. Bob Colson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mabel was born on April 24, 1925 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Guy and Mary E. Waldroop. She grew up in Mangum and attended schools there. She was married and had two sons: Bill Chadwell and Bob Chadwell. She later married Bayard Sadler in 1961 and they lived at Vigo Park. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She was a member of the Tulia Garden Club and was a National Flower Show Judge. She was a member of Central Church of Christ and a member of the Women’s Bible Study Group. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers; Guy E. Waldroop and Jack Waldroop and one sister; Margaret Simmons. She is survived by her two sons; Bill Chadwell of Covington, Georgia and Bob Chadwell of Chickasa, Oklahoma, two sisters; Ava Thompson of Tulia and Christine Knight of Pampa and two brothers; Raymond Waldroop of Mangum, Oklahoma and Daniel R. Waldroop of Lawton, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
