Michael Scott Terrell (Plainview)

Michael Scott Terrell, 62, of Plainview passed from this life to join his heavenly father on Saturday, May 03, 2014 after a lengthy illness.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with Mr. Lanny Voss officiating.  Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Kornerstone. Michael was born on January 21, 1952 in Olton, Texas to the late Glenn Scott Terrell and Lillie Reid Terrell.  He grew up in Halfway, Edmonson, Kress and Plainview area.  While in Edmonson he found his love of Jesus Christ his Savior.  Michael graduated from Kress High School and then attended Texas Tech University.  He joined the U.S. Navy and served 8 years in Air Sea Helicopter Rescue and after some close calls retired to a life of sales and computers.  His hobbies were of computers, reading, golf, and his dog Bubba. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Dawn Terrell of Granbury, Texas; mother, Lillie Terrell of Plainview; and brother, Harley Terrell and wife Carol of Plainview, Texas; nephews, Tracy Terrell and wife Nicole and their children Halie, Cody, Landon of Shallowater, Texas, and Tanner Terrell and wife Mary and their child Cru of Levelland, Texas.
