Funeral services for Toribio Macias, Sr., 76, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Scott Raef officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Macias was born April 16, 1929 in Karnes City, Texas and grew up there. He was a farm laborer. He began truck driving for 20 years. He lived in Lamesa from 1969-1974 when he moved to Tulia. He worked for a seed company in Lamesa. He worked for Swisher Feed Lot and Tulia Ready Mix until he retired in 1991. Survivors include his wife Terry Macias of Tulia, His children: Mary Martinez and her husband Richard Guzman of Tulia, Janie Rios and her husband Domingo, Jr. of Tulia, Connie Iglesias and her husband Paul of Lamesa, Texas, Toribio Macias, Jr. and his wife Amelia of Tulia, Manuel Macias and his wife Angela of Cordell, Oklahoma, Sylvia Bernal of Tulia Florestela Cuellar and her husband Erasmo of Zapata, Texas, Paula Frausto and her husband David Wayne of Tulia, Carmen Garcia and her husband Sgt. Major Billy Ray of Oklahoam City, Oklahoma, Helen Trevino and her husband C.W.O.
