Esther Dietrich Brasher, 86, of Providence passed away on June 13, 2014 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 16, 20014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Providence. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 6 to 7:30 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Esther was born on July 11, 1927 in the Providence Community to A.M. and Anna Dietrich. She attended schools in Providence and then Plainview High School. She married Virgil Brasher. She was a farmer and homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she also played the organ. She loved to Quilt and was known for her Coconut and Lemon Meringue Pies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Brasher; her parents, A.M. and Anna Dietrich; two brothers, Harold and Arnold Dietrich; and one sister, Adella Word. Survivors include two nephews, Michael Dietrich and wife Jo Beth of Providence, Jim Dietrich of Providence; two nieces, Laverne Word Williams of Fulton, Lou Ann Word Brittan of Rockport; sisters-in-law, Ailene Hunt of Denver, Sue Dietrich of Plainview; great nieces and nephews, Aaron and Jolee Dietrich, Travis and Jalee Victory, Cole and Bethany Williams all of Plainview; and four Great Great Nephews.
