Solano Benny Perez (Plainview)

Solano Benny Perez, 79, of Plainview, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the funeral home. Benny was born on July 24, 1934 to Serpio & Lamar Perez in Odonnell, TX. He married Margie Rodriguez on September 24, 1991. He is preceded in death by three sons, Sammy Ramirez, Ramiro Perez, and Benny Perez; one brother, Raul Perez; two sisters, Amelia Perez and Anita Favila; one grandson, Benny Rodriguez; and two great grandsons, Eugene & Mark Aguirre. He is survived by his wife Margie of Plainview, TX; four daughters, Lorene Rodriguez of Plainview, TX, Alma Perez of Lubbock, TX, Nancy Alvarado of Shallowater, TX, and Brenda Garcia & husband Steve of Lubbock, TX; two sons, Lorenzo Perez & wife Linda of Plainview, TX, Mark Anthony Cardenas & wife Theresa of Lubbock, TX; two brothers, Serpio Perez, Jr. “Sam” of Plainview, TX, and Johnny Perez of Mesa, AZ; and one sister, Gloria Hernandez & husband Jesse of Plainview, TX; ten grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
