Tulia, Texas— Gradyline “Jerry” Burrow, 81, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2008 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. James Hassell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. She was born August 24, 1926 in Rains Co., Texas to Cecil and Valla Lee Panter Osborne. She graduated from Post High School and attended Howard Payne University. She married Hardy Burrow on December 4, 1946 in Muleshoe. She worked for the US Navy Dept. in Washington D.C. during WWII. She was a secretary for various businesses including Tulia High School, Farm Bureau and Production Credit. She retired from Production Credit in 1988. She attended First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, the Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies and the Home Artist Club. Survivors include her husband; Hardy Burrow of Tulia, her son; Steve Burrow of Tulia, her daughter and son-in-law; Shana and Mike Williams of Tulia, one brother; Charles Osborne and wife Kathy of Wylie, one sister; Anne Gallegos and husband Art of Orange, California, three sisters-in-law; Joyce Osborne of Little Elm, Wynona Bates of Henderson and Elma Henson of Tulia, four grandchildren; Grant Burrow and wife Megan of Wylie, Ryan Burrow of San Antonio, Melissa Smith and husband Brian of Aurora, Colorado and Chance Williams of Amarillo, one great granddaughter; Avery Burrow of Wylie. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Cecil Osborne, Jr. and one sister; Laverne Osborne. Memorials may be made to the Tulia Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 116, Tulia, Texas 79088.
